Purpose of this website
This website is provided to support councillor casework for residents in Childs Hill and across Barnet. It is not used for campaigning or party political activity.
Acceptable use
By using this website, you agree to:
- provide accurate and truthful information when submitting a report
- use the service only for non-emergency local issues
- not submit content that is abusive, offensive, or misleading
Danger to life, urgent safeguarding concerns, and crimes in progress must be reported to the emergency services by calling 999. This website is not monitored around the clock and must not be used for emergencies.
Reporting tool
The Report a Problem tool allows residents to submit issues related to local matters in Childs Hill and across Barnet. Reports are reviewed by the councillor and may be forwarded to Barnet Council or other relevant public bodies where appropriate.
Sharing your report
When you submit a report through this website, you are consenting to your report being forwarded to Barnet Council, Barnet Homes, or another relevant service provider as deemed appropriate by Councillor Matthew Perlberg. Your personal details will only be shared where necessary to resolve the reported issue.
Your personal data
Any personal information you provide through this website is:
- collected solely for the purpose of councillor casework
- only accessible to Councillor Matthew Perlberg
- never used for marketing, campaigning or party political purposes
- never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes
- protected by appropriate technical and organisational security measures
- retained only for as long as necessary as set out in our Privacy Policy

Voice input (Speak to Write)
The reporting form includes an optional Speak to Write feature that uses your device's microphone to transcribe speech into the message box. By clicking the button and granting microphone access, you are consenting to use this feature. Audio is not stored by this website. Depending on your browser, speech may be processed by a third-party provider such as Google or Microsoft. See the Privacy Notice for more information.
This feature is entirely optional. You may type your message instead.
Case tracking
You can track the status of your report using the Track Your Report feature on the homepage. You will need your case reference number and the email address you used when submitting.
Updates page
Some approved reports may appear publicly on the Updates page, showing the issue type, location, and status. Personal details such as your name and email address are not shown publicly.
Public updates map
At the discretion of Councillor Matthew Perlberg, reported issues may be added to the public updates map on the Updates page. This is done to:
- inform residents of known issues in the area
- prevent duplicate reports of the same issue
- keep the community informed of progress on local matters
Only the issue category, general location and current status will be shown publicly. No personal data, names, email addresses or case reference numbers will ever be displayed on the public map. The decision to publish any report to the public map is made solely at the discretion of Councillor Matthew Perlberg.
Ward Finder
The Ward Finder uses postcode data to identify ward boundaries and display relevant councillor and MP information. It does not store your postcode or address.
The Ward Finder may display or link to publicly available councillor information from official council websites across London boroughs. External information remains the responsibility of the relevant council and may change without notice.
Disclaimer
This website is an independent casework tool operated by Councillor Matthew Perlberg and is not an official Barnet Council website. Submitting a report through this website does not replace official council reporting channels or emergency services.

If you are dissatisfied with how your report or personal data has been handled, please contact Councillor Matthew Perlberg directly at cllr.m.perlberg@barnet.gov.uk.
If your complaint relates to how your personal data has been handled and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent data protection authority, at ico.org.uk.
